Rooted in Kerrville

Restoration from the Inside Out

Help Restore What Was Lost Beneath the Surface

When a flood destroys homes, it also disrupts stories, identities, and the quiet threads that hold a community together.

Your gift helps us create thoughtful, relational, faith-based resources for individuals, families, and leaders in Kerrville—including those walking through healing with Mercy Gate Ministries—not just to recover, but to be restored.

We believe restoration is more than rebuilding structures.
It’s rebuilding souls.

What Is Rooted in Kerrville?

Rooted in Kerrville is a restoration project born after the flood—but it’s about more than rebuilding structures. It’s about helping people rebuild their lives from the inside out.

This project includes:

  • A 40-day reflection journey on Substack—written for the people of Kerrville and anyone longing for restoration. These posts offer encouragement, truth, and practical hope in the wake of trauma, grief, or loss.

  • A printable community resource—coming this fall for local leaders, pastors, and families in Kerrville. This tool will include stories, spiritual practices, and reflection prompts to guide long-term healing.

  • Ongoing consulting and curriculum support for Mercy Gate Ministries, a nonprofit walking with women recovering from trauma, addiction, and exploitation. This work shifts the culture from behavior management to soul restoration, one relationship at a time.

We’re not asking the people of Kerrville to give. They’ve already lost enough. We want to give them what they need—not just to recover but to be restored.
So we’re inviting people around the country—and the world—to give generously.

Your gift makes this possible—and along the way, you’re invited to take the journey, too.

Join the Journey on Substack

Rooted in Kerrville is more than a response to a flood. It’s a 40-day invitation into reflection, restoration, and rebuilding—from the inside out.

We’re publishing a series of short, soul-nourishing reflections on Substack—written not only for Kerrville but for anyone who has experienced loss, disruption, or disorientation.

Each post offers space to pause, reflect, and take a small step toward healing.

You’re invited to read along.
To share the reflections with others.
And to walk this journey of restoration—side by side with a community rebuilding what matters most.
